Metro Nashville Disaster Response Fund

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee established this Fund in 2002, which has since become an integrated part of Nashville’s official disaster manual created by the Office of Emergency Management. The Fund has been designated by the city of Nashville as the central repository for giving at the time of disaster. The Metro Nashville Disaster Response Fund acts to rebuild lives through support of nonprofit organizations in the Davidson County area supporting the recovery process of people and our city. Gifts to this Fund will used by The Community Foundation to make grants to nonprofit organizations providing provide vital services and addressing basic needs, for disasters we may one day face.

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee responds in times of disaster to connect generosity with need. The Tennessee Emergency Response Fund was created to help our communities be ready to handle a disaster. Gifts to this Fund will used by The Community Foundation to make grants to nonprofit organizations providing provide vital services and addressing needs of people affected by future disasters. Donations of any size are welcome at any time.
